Welcome to the Matamata RSA – the beating heart of Matamata.
We’re all about friendliness, good humour, enjoyment and community involvement – a social enterprise that delivers socially!
While modernised in every aspect and with a modern attitude, we still uphold the traditional RSA motto of ‘People Helping People’.
We encourage the whole family to come along and take advantage of our safe and friendly clubrooms.
We extend a warm invitation to members, affiliated members and their guests to make use of the facilities, which are available for weddings, functions, trainings, funerals and corporate events, etc.
Prospective members are invited to come and see the facilities we have on offer at Matamata RSA and to hopefully join in the fun and good times.

We have a range of adjuncts and sub-clubs:
- Wine Club – enjoy discounts and tastings
- Beers Club – enjoy discounts and tastings
- 8 Ball – we have a very strong section that competes regularly with honours, playing both CNZ and Friendly rules
- Darts – a growing adjunct who recently started back up and will be looking to host comps this year
- 500 Club cards – a competitive, yet social environment
- Indoor Bowls – meet weekly for fun, social play and socialising
- Fishing club – we travel away on our trips
- Rock n Roll – the Matamata Rockers meet weekly
- Country Music Club – the Matamata branch meet monthly at the RSA for club days
- Lawn Bowls – offered on the adjacent impeccable green by the Matamata RSA & Citizens club
OPENING HOURS
OPEN DAILY FROM 3PM excluding Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and 2nd January every year.
DRESS CODE
We don’t stand on airs, but please remember that we are a Club and that a reasonable standard of dress is required.
