8-BALL NEWS:
The MIXED PAIRS championship started 16th August. If you have put your name down, please check the draw on the 8-Ball boards and ensure you organise to play your game within the allotted time frames!
Unfortunately, some Clubs in the Interclub comp opted to halt proceedings during the latest lockdown level shift. These are now resuming as of this coming Monday! Check your texts from Lee!
KEEP SMILING
Getting Older …. If my body were a car, I would trade it in. Every time I cough, sneeze or sputter, my radiator leaks and my exhaust backfires!
COMMITTEE CHANGES – Due to changes in personal circumstances, Wendy Villiers has decided to stand down from the Committee. We are very sad to see her go, but she promises to still be around the club helping out as a Social Ambassador. In her stead, Viv Parnell has now been moved onto the Committee – please make her feel welcome in her new role.
RECENT EVENTS – While the numbers attending were disappointing, those who did attend our Dinner Dance and Curling Cup events were thrilled and had a blast! Please remember that we cater for those who have their names on the list – and we lose money with no-shows! We also lose money when greater numbers than attending put their names down events with entertainment …. The club still has to pay for the entertainment provided.
The Curling Cup was won by Nicole D, Judy B and Jane T, so now the challenge is on!
Check out the Facebook page for the images uploaded there. Thank you to all those who supported the events.
