FUNDRAISING FOR ROOF

Unfortunately, we have to replace the Club house roof as soon as the better weather arrives. Needless to say, this is not a cheap process. This means that other upgrades and improvements the Committee had intended to spearhead now need to be put on hold for a wee while.

Fundraising efforts will be ongoing – bar tab raffles are just the start. We’re planning weekend BBQ’s and much more. Please support any and all efforts by your Committee to get to our target of $70,000!

If you have any bright fundraising ideas, please email them to Gayle at the office, or jot them down and hand them in to a committee member!

******************************

MEMBERSHIP CARDS MUST BE CARRIED ON YOU

AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE CLUB!

NB: This is NOT a request – more a directive from National as well as the police and liquor licensing authorities. Spot checks will be conducted.

You MUST also scan your own card when purchasing drinks. The staff are NOT permitted to scan the RSA club card to grant you discounts if you do not have your card on you! If your card is not working on the till system, then it is the duty manager’s discretion to use the club card.

If you’ve paid your membership – please COLLECT your card from the Bar Staff.

STAFF ONLY

Please do NOT go behind the bar, into the chillers, kitchen or storage area, for any reason whatsoever, without permission from the Duty Manager or Manager.

SPONSORS

Please support our Club sponsors! Their continued assistance and donations make running the club a lot less expensive for us, and thus you! If you need services or products, please check our sponsor listings within the club or on our website before going elsewhere.

Action Automotive – Baigent Motors – Centigrade – Challenge – Daltons – Don Griffiths – Electrico – Noble & Lee – Peter Vossen Builders – Phil’s Motorcycle Centre – PG Wrightson – Plumbco – Waterson’s Funeral Services – Waterson’s Carpet Court & Furniture Court

PIG SLOPS

Do you have hungry piggies, or know someone who does? We need someone who needs a regular supply  of food scraps and who is willing to collect. Please contact Gayle if you can help.

SPUD IN THE BUCKET

All the buckets, soil and spuds have now been collected. We’d like to once again thank Daltons & PG Wrightsons for their continued support of this annual event. All you have to do is keep tending those spuds and hopefully end up as one of our winners!

FUNCTIONS

Are you celebrating a special occasion, birthday, anniversary etc. Please bear the Club in mind when you consider booking a venue! Who else do you know whom you could recommend?

SHUTTLE VAN

Don’t Drink & Drive! Not only is it the law, but it’s stupid!

We offer a door to door service but bookings are essential!

To make a booking, call the bar after 3pm but preferably before 5pm when the bar gets busy – sometimes too busy to answer the phone! The van is available to all members, as well as to groups for functions.

There is no charge for the usage …. But donations are always welcome! To tempt you into using the bus and offering up a donation, all users can put their name down on the sheet at the bar – every usage of the van puts you in the draw for a large meat pack raffle, drawn when each sheet is full!

KEEP IT CLEAN

As a family friendly club, we encourage all members to be respectful in terms of bad language, lewd jokes and unseemly behaviour.
